Vocational Education and Training (VET) Links


ACT Department of Education and Training delivers high quality education services through government schools; registers non government schools; and administers vocational education and training in the ACT.


NSW Department of Education and Training delivers high quality, internationally-competitive public education and training, under the NSW Minister for Education and Training. The executive is appointed across schools, TAFE and corporate sectors.


NT Department of Employment, Education and Training provides quality early childhood services and education for all young Territorians, with a focus on meeting the needs of Indigenous students, leading to jobs, training and further education. In the training business area, the Department works to increase access to training pathways for Territorians to build or expand their skills so they can contribute to and benefit from the Territory's development.


QLD Department of Education and Training is committed to providing Queenslanders with the knowledge, skills and confidence to maximise their potential, contribute productively to the economy and build a better Queensland.


The Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology (DFEEST) reflects and supports the South Australian Government's priorities of sustaining a vibrant economy and a socially inclusive community by developing the state's workforce, skills base and life long learning opportunities. The department is committed to developing science research and information economy opportunities to enable South Australia to capitalise on current expertise and create partnerships and opportunities for growth.

Training and Skills Commission
The Training and Skills Commission provides independent advice to the South Australian Government about the State's skills and workforce development priorities. This includes areas which SA must invest in to maximise skill development and create sustainable employment opportunities, particularly in high skill demand areas.


TAS Department of Education is responsible for providing public education, vocational education and training, adult and community education, and library and archive services throughout Tasmania.

Skills Tasmania is responsible for planning, purchasing and supporting the delivery of vocational education and training (VET) services for Tasmania; the development of policy advice for skills development; promotion of industry investment in training; and the development, regulation and administration of apprenticeships/traineeships and other State funded skills development programs in Tasmania.


Department of Training and Workforce Development will work with industry, the community and Government to build a workforce which is productive, inclusive, efficient and mobile.

WA Department of Education- VET in Schools
VET in Schools programs provide the opportunity for students to gain a nationally recognised qualification along with workplace experience and skills, while at school. Programs are usually offered in Years 10, 11 and 12 and qualifications are available from a range of industries.


Skills Victoria supports and facilitates access to training and tertiary education opportunities so that Victorians can acquire higher skills that are utilised by, and contribute to the success of, Victorian businesses.

Department of Education and Early Childhood Development(DEECD) Vet in Schools
VET in Schools (VETiS) is designed to expand opportunities and pathways for senior secondary students, and improve educational outcomes in line with the Victorian Government's objective to increase the number of young people completing Year 12 or equivalent. VETiS also addresses the skills and employment needs of industry in Victoria.
